  1. LP, Vinyl record album. Booker T & The MGs Best Of Booker T & The MGs. Atlantic, Best Of Clarence Carter. Atlantic, Late 60s. Very Good it was later, and hence not as good as the other Stax stuff. But then we discovered the nice extended version of "Feel Like Makin' Love", which is a nice solid groover. Also includes the tracks.

Weekend Love Tracks 13 to 24 are his 2nd album "The Dynamic Clarence Carter" in Stereo – released March in the USA on Atlantic SD and in the UK on Atlantic I had "The Dynamic Clarence Carter" LP in and considered it to be my most vibrant-sounding stereo album. It is not terribly surprising that in Kent Soul's expert /5(12).

  3. Clarence Carter does his usual country-soul and blues material, plus some humorous, sexually suggestive numbers and one or two love tunes. This wasn't his most inspired set; even though the production and arrangements were good, the lyrics and compositions weren't among his best.

  5. In addition to the two cuts I highlighted earlier in the week (novelties, but deep too), mostly a straightforward set of fine-tuned 70s R&B. A little funk, a little soul, a little big-voiced balladeering, a lot of traditional Love Man, all rendered with a mix of silk and grit that makes for good smiling and nodding music. No small thing these days.
